Post Op Garments

Call it a faja, girdle or shapewear – your post op compression garment is a key component in your cosmetic surgery recovery (next only to staying hydrated and proper nutrition)! Proper fitted compression not only helps with swelling and comfort, but helps your skin re-adhere properly to your muscle wall after liposuction or skin removal.

I do not claim to be an expert in this field and will always recommend you default to your surgeon’s recommendations for compression. I have found through my work in cosmetic surgery recovery that many patients are not provided guidance in this area, and I do my best to fill in the gaps. By providing fitting assistance and accessories such as foams to my clients, we will work together to make sure your garment is supportive and comfortable. I am proud to be partnered with Marena  — today’s leader in medical grade compression. By keeping a handful of garments on hand, I am happy to assist with sizing and fit so you can feel confident in your choice, whether you purchase from me directly or order online.

What Compression Does after Liposuction and Skin Removal/Tightening:

  • Reduces swelling by maintaining pressure on the lymphatic system
  • Supports proper healing of the severed connective tissue by closing the space between the skin and the muscle wall
  • Helps contour the body
  • Prevents visual abnormalities like lumps & bumps, loose skin texture, and uneven shape.

Compression garment support is something that I offer exclusively to my post-op massage & manual lymphatic drainage clients. During your session time, I am happy to take your measurements and encourage you to try on any garments and accessories I have on hand at no extra charge.

For lymphedema and lipedema clients — I do not have the training or experience to help with custom compression and can only offer very general guidance and resources. Please seek out the expertise from a CLT – Certified Lymphedema Therapist Directory. Click here to view the directory.
